This weekend, John C. Campbell Folk School was represented at the Charlotte Woodcarver’s Show at the Marion Diehl Recreation Center in Charlotte, NC. Woodcarvers from all over the South East came to demonstrate their woodcarving skills and sell their amazing work. Some of the carvers included Allen Goodman, Tom Gow and Tom Wolfe. We also met some instructors that will teaching for the first time at the Folk School in 2014!

Among the carvers and vendors, met a couple there who had an enormous downed tree that they thought a woodcarver or woodturner might like to use. Since we know a lot of woodcarvers and woodturners,  we thought we’d post it on our blog to see if someone would like to come get it.  Woodturner’s and woodcarvers- this is the tree for you. All you have to do is pick it up in Rock Hill, SC.  If you are interested in it, please contact: Gene Meyer (meyer@asme.org) or call (803) 817-6349
