Storey Publishing has just released Folk School instructor Margaret Radcliffe’s latest book, The Essential Guide to Color Knitting Techniques (hardcover, $29.95), which is an absolute brilliant combination of yarns, textures, colors and stitches. The winning ingredient is the enormous amount of inspiration for knitters of all levels. A stroll through the hundreds of beautifully rendered full-color photographs will confirm to those with huge stashes that collecting all that yarn, for all those years, has been, indeed, a smart thing to do. Those without stashes will become alarmingly creative in their reasons to leave work/family/conventions/vacation resorts to “run to the yarn shop for just a few minutes.”
