Hoyt Brown brought in new, wood turned bowls to the Craft Shop this week. The one he’s holding is a one-of-a-kind Sassafras Hollow Bowl for $130.50.
Hoyt G. Brown is a second generation Brasstown Carver, the renowned group of carvers that formed during the 1930s at the John C. Campbell Folk School. His award-winning pieces are collected nationally and internationally.
Come into the Craft Shop and choose from over 30 of Hoyt Brown’s wood turned bowls in a variety of woods, including: sassafras, walnut, cherry, maple burls and other native woods. Prices range from $32-$300.

June is a signature member of the Watercolor Society for North Carolina and the Southern Watercolor Society. She works from photo references and intuitively, without preplanned sketches. June is the originator of the Alcohol Ink Dreamscaping process and author of Alcohol Ink Dreamscaping Quick Reference Guide, along with five instructional DVDs, available as downloads and streaming. She is currently enjoying creating in traditional oils. Her debut novel, She Lost Her Muse, will be released on Amazon December 2020.
