Betsy Henn Bailey celebrates her 36th year as a Fall Festival vendor and artist. A local artist and teacher in the Brasstown and Murphy area for over 40 years, Betsy has had a great influence on art and culture in our community. The week before the 39th Annual Fall Festival I talked to Betsy about the festival, her art, and her Folk School memories.
Fall Festival: October 5 & 6
Share in a celebration of timeless Appalachian culture at our 45th annual Fall Festival. Strolling through our wooded campus, you’ll meet over 250 fine craft vendors offering their work for sale. Enjoy the Quilt Show, and watch over 30 talented artisans demonstrate their craft. Catch the excitement as you view musicians and dancers on two stages throughout the weekend. Bring the youngsters for lively kids’ activities, and choose from a nice selection of tasty Festival food. Daily admission: $5 for adults, $3 for ages 12-17, and free for children under 12.
